How to add emojis to a video

Three steps, and the file never leaves your computer

1. Add your video

Drag an MP4, MOV, WebM or GIF into the box, or click “Upload”. The browser opens the file on your own machine, so nothing is uploaded and there is no wait before you can start. Up to 1 GB.

2. Pick an emoji and place it

The picker opens on the emoji tab, where you can scroll the full set or search by name. Drag one onto the preview, then set its start and end time, size, rotation and opacity on the timeline.

3. Export without a watermark

Export gives you an MP4 at the original resolution, or a preset at 720p, 1080p or 9:16 for vertical feeds. The encoding runs on your own machine, so the speed depends on your hardware and there is no queue.

Every emoji gets its own timeline

Set the moment each one appears and disappears, move it a pixel at a time with the arrow keys and fade it in and out. Each emoji is rendered from the emoji font on your device at the size you set, not scaled up from a small image, so the edges stay clean however large you make it.
